What is quick here — and what isn't?
This is a cafe kitchen rather than a fast-food window, but a good half of the menu was built to be handed over in a bag. The quick list, all halal and all available right through to closing:
- Chicken Ham & Cheese Toast — 179 ฿. Golden toast, halal chicken ham, melted cheese. The cheapest hot thing we make.
- Egg, Chicken Ham & Cheese Croissant — 189 ฿. Butter croissant, soft omelette, chicken ham, melted cheddar — the grab-and-go breakfast.
- Chicken Sandwich with Pesto — 199 ฿. Ciabatta, grilled chicken, pesto, cheese, fresh vegetables. Our best-seller.
- Chicken Wrap — 199 ฿. Grilled chicken, vegetables and house sauce in a warm tortilla, with fries.
- Spinach Omelette Wrap with Garden Salad — 189 ฿. Vegetarian, and the lightest of the wraps.
- Tuna Sandwich — 249 ฿ and the NIMA Club Sandwich — 249 ฿, a triple-decker cut in four, with fries.
What is not quick: the wok and the fryer. Pad thai, fried rice, tom yum and fish & chips are worth sitting down for, but they are not what to order when someone is waiting in the car.
How long does it actually take?
In order of speed: the bakery counter is immediate, because it is already baked and sitting in the case. A toast, a croissant or a wrap is the fastest hot food. Sandwiches follow. Breakfast plates, salads and the Thai dishes are cooked to order, so they take as long as cooking takes.
The way to remove the wait altogether is the phone. Ring +66 98 067 2795, say what you want and roughly when you will be there, and the bag is on the counter when you walk in. It is the single most useful line in this guide, and it costs nothing — no app, no deposit, no reservation.
What is on the bakery counter, and what does it cost?
The selection changes through the day, so ask what is left rather than planning the morning around one pastry. The counter runs 39–229 ฿:
- 39 ฿ — cinnamon twists, brownie
- 49 ฿ — croissant zebra
- 59–69 ฿ — donuts: glaze, green tea, chocolate
- 79 ฿ — muffins: banana, blueberry, double chocolate
- 89 ฿ — pineapple Danish
- 89–119 ฿ — chocolate croissant
- 139 ฿ — almond croissant
- 149 ฿ — Basque burnt cheesecake
- 189 ฿ — orange cake · 229 ฿ — chocolate cake
Two pastries and two coffees for four people on the way to the beach is a genuinely cheap breakfast by Cherngtalay standards, and much cheaper than the same thing bought inside a resort.
Coffee, matcha and juice to go
Every drink on the list travels in a cup. The short version: espresso 69 ฿, hot americano 89 ฿, iced americano 99 ฿, cappuccino 89 / 109 ฿, latte 99 / 119 ฿, flat white 99 ฿, mocha 109 / 129 ฿. Matcha latte 99 ฿, with eleven more matcha and Japanese-tea drinks up to 159 ฿. The iced house signatures — coconut coffee and orange coffee, 139 ฿ each — are the ones people photograph.
Fruit shakes are 99 ฿ (mango 119 ฿) and fresh juices 119 ฿, squeezed to order with no sugar added: orange, apple, pineapple or carrot. Oat milk is +35 ฿ on any milk drink, an extra shot +25 ฿, syrup +15 ฿, whipped cream +15 ฿. Still water is 25 ฿ — which matters more than it sounds on a beach day. There is a longer explainer in our coffee and matcha guide.
Taking it to the beach: what travels and what doesn't?
We are on Srisoonthon Road in Cherngtalay — about 1 km from Surin Beach, about 2 km from Bang Tao Beach, Boat Avenue and Laguna Phuket, about 3 km from Kamala — so nothing spends long in the bag.
What survives the ride: sandwiches, wraps, toast, the whole bakery counter, fried rice and pad thai, iced coffee and juices. What does not: pancakes go soft, fried eggs stop being fried eggs, and anything deep-fried loses its crunch within minutes. Ask for salad dressing on the side, and for rice to be packed separately from soup. If the sand is the plan, our Surin Beach day guide covers the rest of the logistics.
Do you deliver?
Not yet. Delivery is coming soon and is not running at the time of writing, so the way to get food without sitting down is takeaway — ideally ordered ahead by phone. If you are staying in a villa around Laguna or Bang Tao, collecting on the way past is the realistic option today.
Hours, payment and parking
Open 10:00 – 19:00 and closed every Thursday — worth checking against your plans, because the places along this coast each keep their own closing day and Thursday is ours. The kitchen and the bakery counter both run until 19:00, so there is no afternoon gap when only cake is left.
Payment: credit and debit cards, PromptPay / Thai QR, or cash. Parking is free on the street right at the door, with scooters at the entrance. Inside it is air-conditioned with free Wi-Fi, so waiting for an order is no hardship — and if you decide to stay after all, the full menu with photos is on a single page. No reservation needed either way: walk in.
The cheapest way to eat here is a 39 ฿ brownie or cinnamon twist with a 69 ฿ espresso. The fastest hot meal is the 179 ฿ toast.

Questions & answers
Can I order takeaway at Nima Cafe?
Yes — everything on the menu can be packed to go. The useful move is to call ahead on +66 98 067 2795, say what you want and when you will arrive, and your order will be bagged and waiting instead of cooked while you stand there. No app, no deposit and no reservation needed. We are open 10:00 – 19:00 and closed every Thursday.
Do you deliver to Bang Tao, Surin or Laguna?
Not yet. Delivery is coming soon but is not running at the moment, so takeaway is the way to get food without sitting down. We are about 1 km from Surin Beach and about 2 km from Bang Tao Beach, Boat Avenue and Laguna Phuket, so collecting on the way past takes only a few minutes.
What is the cheapest quick snack?
The bakery counter: cinnamon twists and the brownie are 39 ฿, a croissant zebra is 49 ฿, donuts 59–69 ฿ and muffins 79 ฿. With an espresso at 69 ฿ that is a breakfast for just over 100 ฿. The cheapest hot plate is the chicken ham and cheese toast at 179 ฿.
Is the takeaway food halal?
Everything we serve is halal: there is no pork and no alcohol anywhere on the menu, including the sauces and the drinks. The sandwiches use halal chicken ham, the English breakfast uses beef bacon and chicken sausages, and the Thai dishes are cooked halal. We do not hold a CICOT certificate, so this is our own kitchen practice rather than a certification — ask us anything you want to know and we will answer straight.
Can I grab breakfast early on the way to the beach?
We open at 10:00, so we are not a sunrise stop — but breakfast runs all day until 19:00, which means a croissant, an omelette at 149 ฿ or avocado toast at 219 ฿ is still breakfast at four in the afternoon. We are closed every Thursday. Street parking is free at the door.
Photos of every dish, the current prices and the whole drinks list live on one page — and the phone is the fastest way to skip the queue.
