What to order at Nima Cafe: the menu explained — breakfast, Thai dishes, drinks, prices and dietary notes
The food menu is five sections — breakfast, salads, sandwiches & wraps, mains and desserts — and breakfast runs all day until closing. Everything is halal: no pork, no alcohol anywhere, including in the sauces. If you want the short list: chicken sandwich with pesto 199 ฿ is the best-seller, the NIMA club sandwich 249 ฿ is what we recommend, the English breakfast 279 ฿ is the big plate, pad thai with shrimp 219 ฿ is the Thai favourite, and the pineapple fried rice platter 299–349 ฿ is the one built for two. Coffee starts at 69 ฿. All prices include 7% VAT. Photos of every dish are on the full menu.
How is the menu organised?
Food comes in five sections, and the kitchen runs from opening to closing — 10:00 to 19:00, closed every Thursday — so there is no breakfast cut-off and no afternoon gap when only cake is available.
- Breakfast — five plates, all day. Eggs from local farms, sourdough baked each morning.
- Salads — five, 149–389 ฿. Vegetables from Thalang farmers; dressing on the side if you ask.
- Sandwiches & wraps — seven, 179–249 ฿, on bread from our own oven.
- Mains — six: the Thai wok dishes plus fish & chips.
- Desserts — pancakes, plus the bakery counter.
Drinks are longer: black coffee, coffee with milk, Thai-style drinks, four house signatures, a matcha bar of twelve, homemade sodas, shakes, fresh juices and soft drinks. No alcohol at all.
What should you order for breakfast?
- English Breakfast — 279 ฿ (450 g). Two eggs, chicken sausages, beef bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash brown, toast. The biggest plate here; order it if you skipped a meal.
- Shakshuka — 249 ฿ (380 g). Eggs poached in spiced tomato and pepper sauce with feta and herbs, buttered toast to mop it up. Our second most-ordered breakfast.
- Avocado Toast — 219 ฿ (220 g). Sourdough, smashed avocado, poached egg, lime, chilli flakes. The lightest thing that is still a meal.
- Omelette — 149 ฿ (250 g). Three eggs, side salad, toast. Add-ons: vegetables +20 ฿, mushrooms +25 ฿, cheese +25 ฿, chicken +30 ฿ — a filled omelette with coffee is the cheapest full breakfast here.
- Oatmeal with Berries — 149 ฿ (300 g). Creamy oats, strawberries and mixed berries, banana, honey, toasted nuts.
Which salad should you pick?
- Burrata Salad — 389 ฿ (280 g). Creamy burrata, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, rocket, balsamic. The most expensive plate here and the one to split as a starter.
- Caesar Salad — 229 ฿ (280 g). Romaine, grilled chicken, parmesan, croutons, soft egg, house dressing.
- Avocado & Chicken Salad — 249 ฿ (300 g). Mixed leaves, grilled chicken, avocado, cherry tomatoes, seeds, citrus dressing — the one for a working afternoon.

- Som Tam — Papaya Salad — 149 ฿. Green papaya with shrimp, cherry tomatoes, peanuts, lime and chilli. Properly Thai and properly spicy — ask for less chilli if you are not used to it.
Sandwiches and wraps — which one?
- NIMA Club Sandwich — 249 ฿ (380 g). Triple-decker on toasted bread: grilled chicken, halal beef bacon, egg, cheddar, tomato, lettuce, mayo. Cut in four, with fries.

This is the Thai half of the kitchen, all halal, plus one British import. If you are new to Thai food, there is a longer explainer in our guide to Thai dishes the halal way.

- Tom Yum Soup with Rice — 189 ฿ chicken, 239 ฿ shrimp. Hot-and-sour soup with lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, with jasmine rice.
- Fish & Chips — 249 ฿. Crispy breaded fillet, fries, tartar sauce, salad.
Is there dessert?
Pancakes — 149 ฿ classic, 169 ฿ chocolate (260 g). Three fluffy pancakes: classic with berries or banana, maple syrup and butter; chocolate with warm sauce, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and cocoa dust. Breakfast or pudding, and the dessert most children point at.
Beyond that there is the bakery counter, which changes through the day: almond and chocolate croissants, muffins, cinnamon twists, Basque burnt cheesecake, chocolate cake. Ask what is left rather than planning around it.

What if you are vegetarian?
Six plates we can point at without a conversation: oatmeal with berries 149 ฿, avocado toast 219 ฿, burrata salad 389 ฿, Greek salad 199 ฿, spinach omelette wrap 189 ฿ and pancakes 149–169 ฿ — plus any milk drink with oat milk for +35 ฿. Most contain egg or cheese, which suits most vegetarians and not everyone, so if you avoid those too, say so when you order and we will go through the plate with you rather than guess. We are a small kitchen and we won't pretend we have a separate vegan line.
Allergens: what should you tell your waiter?
Tell us before you order, not after — the kitchen can change a plate, but only while it is still being made. The things worth naming:
- Nuts. Peanuts in the pad thai and som tam, cashews in the pineapple fried rice, toasted nuts in the oatmeal, nuts in the pesto on the chicken sandwich and the burrata salad.
- Shellfish and fish. Shrimp in pad thai, som tam, shrimp fried rice and tom yum goong; tuna in the sandwich; fish in the fish & chips.
- Egg. All five breakfasts, the Caesar salad, the club sandwich, the croissant, the spinach wrap, the pancakes and the wok dishes.
- Dairy. Feta in the shakshuka and Greek salad, burrata, parmesan in the Caesar, cheddar in the sandwiches.
One honest limit: it is all one small kitchen, so we can leave an ingredient out of your dish but cannot promise a nut-free or shellfish-free room. If an allergy is severe, say exactly how severe.
What works for children?
The reliable list: omelette 149 ฿ (plain, or +25 ฿ cheese), pancakes 149 ฿, chicken ham & cheese toast 179 ฿, chicken fried rice 169 ฿ and the chicken wrap 199 ฿ with fries. To drink: banana shake 99 ฿, cocoa 89 ฿ or fresh orange juice 119 ฿. The Thai dishes are cooked to order, so chilli can be left out — ask, and the heat comes on the side instead of in the bowl.
How do you order for two — or for a table?
For two who want one big thing: the pineapple fried rice platter (299 ฿ with chicken, 349 ฿ with shrimp) plus a Greek salad at 199 ฿ and two coffees comes to roughly 600–700 ฿, and nobody leaves hungry. For four, two sharing platters and a burrata to split beat four separate mains. In a hurry: a sandwich and an iced americano are the two fastest things we make.
A coffee with a plate of food lands at about 250–400 ฿ per person. That is the number worth remembering.
Takeaway: what travels and what doesn't?
Takeaway works, and calling ahead on +66 98 067 2795 is the whole trick — it will be bagged and waiting instead of cooked while you stand there. Delivery is coming soon; it is not running yet.
What travels well: fried rice, pad thai, tom yum (rice packed separately), sandwiches, wraps, the bakery counter. What does not: pancakes go soft, fried eggs stop being fried eggs, and fish & chips loses its coating in ten minutes. Ask for salad dressing on the side; iced drinks survive the five-minute ride to Surin or Bang Tao fine.

Takeaway yes — call +66 98 067 2795 and it will be bagged and ready when you arrive, which saves the wait at busy hours. Delivery is coming soon but is not running yet. Fried rice, pad thai, sandwiches and wraps travel well; pancakes, fried eggs and anything deep-fried are much better eaten at the table. Ask for salad dressing on the side.
